IN THE JUSTICE'S COURT FOR THE PRECINCT OF ST.JOHNS

Before me, Serafin Apodaca, an Acting Justice of the Peace, in and for said County, this day personally appeared, Art McDonald, who
first being duly sworn made oath; That on the 15th day of October, A.D. 1887, at, "To wit" the County of Apache and Territory of Arizona, Kid Swingle, alias, C.W. Johnson, did unlawfully, willfully and feloniously take, steal, carry, lead and drive away one bay horse, marked and branded as follows, "To wit", the letter V with a bar beneath it (V) on the left hip and LC on the left shoulder, of the personal property of Henry Smith, Ernest Tee and Thomas Carson, who are engaged in business under the firm name and style of Smith, Carson and Company, said horse being of the value of fifty dollars, contrary to the Statutes in such cases made and provided, and against the peace and dignity of the Territory of Arizona.  And affaint prays that a warrant issue for the arrest of said Kid Swingle, alias, C.W. Johnson, that he may be dealt with according to law.

true and correct copy of the complaint filed with me this day, charging Kid Swingle, alias C. W. Johnson, with the crime of Grand Larcency. Witness my hand this the 8th day of December, A.D. 1887.
